Happy International Women's Day

When I started speaking out about the truth of the verbally and emotionally abusive relationship I was in from 2014-2017, this happened:

  • I received written threats from him stating he will never stop until he gets justice.
  • He told bold-faced lies about me so he could keep his "good guy" facade.
  • He harassed me at work—he sent emails to roughly 80 people at my place of work and posted on Facebook pages about me that were associated with my employer.
  • He sent messages to me on Messenger while disguised as someone else in order to get around the restraining order a judge had granted in response to the first three bullet points.
  • He threatened several of the women who had reached out to me after reading what I wrote (and validated what I had endured). He said he would share nude photos of them on the internet and spread personal info he knew would hurt and scare them. Punishment for breaking the silence and sharing information with me.

Think about this for a moment. People ask why women don't speak up about harassment and abuse? THIS IS WHY.

And it's the reason this silent epidemic still exists. He kept all of those women before me quiet with threats and harassment, to the point they are still scared to speak out. And I don't blame them. I'm just grateful they reached out to me and spoke up about the abuse they endured at his hand.

On this day—International Women's Day—I have hope. Hope that by speaking out, we are helping to create a better tomorrow for generations to come. Generations that will look back on the #metoo and #timesup movements as the turning point in history where light began to push out the silent darkness.

Thank you, warrior women, for speaking out, supporting your fellow sisters (privately or publicly), and saying ENOUGH to abuse on all levels.

You are my heroes.

On this International Woman’s Day, let me say, to the woman I am so honored to call my sister, my hero, you have survived hell, you have faced the devil and lived to not only tell about it but console and counsel others who he has left destroyed like the disaster he is! This is a coward who hides behind a screen, he uses a keyboard like an uzi and he doesn’t care who he nukes or who he lies about. But you see, he cannot hurt you because you stand tall, stand classy, stand with your family, coworkers and dear friends all of whom simply adore you. Period!

Love you, Egan. I tell ya, I never knew I could gather this much strength to fight the undercover/covert attacks but I know by telling the truth—something that even in the face of screenshots of match.com conversations, predatory conversations, and "proof" by family members—he still doesn't believe. I don't know how one person can do so much harm to so many (clients, exes, family) and just tell himself another story and believe it. And sadly, I know too many women dealing with similar types—sociopaths. I will walk into the fire to help shine a light on this so my daughter and son NEVER get pulled into a nightmare like this. So that no one does. Thank you for your love and support through all of it. I couldn't have done it without you. You are a true angel in my life. <3
